Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri is an Indian actress, who gained notoriety for her roles in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun and Beta Saajan. She started her career in early 1980s. Her character as Anil Kapoor in the film Tezaab earned her an enormous amount of attention. In the next film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she started learning dance at an early age. When she was young began acting, but struggled as many of her film projects were not successful. Then she found her feet and was able to establish herself as one of the most prominent actresses in the Indian industry of film. Following her marriage she had some time off from her career and then returned to entertainment. In recent times, she was the main character in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she received eight. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian distinction in India. Her charitable work is very well-known.
